TPC at Avenel Hole-by-Hole Guide
How Pros Play the Hole: Pros will try to play left from tee to green on this hole. Long irons to woods will be needed to reach the green in two. Most Troublesome Hazards: Deep bunker guarding the right front of the green. Toughest Pin Placement: Close to bunker in right corner. Fred Funk's Take: "Just downright hard. It's just long with a very, very tough green. You've got to hit two really good shots there. If you're short and in that chasm that's down there in the front right, that's almost impossible. If you're in the back bunker [by the green], it's really, really hard to get up and down. If the pin is close to you, you can't get enough spin on it. So you're best option on that hole, if you don't hit a good tee shot, is to be somewhere short and chip up to the green."
