Description: A lake runs in front of the tee and along the left side of the fairway on this scenic par-4. Around the green the players will run into the first of many deep grass bunkers on the course.

How Pros Play the Hole: The tee shot is the most important shot. Most pros will use a 3-wood — some a driver — to negotiate the lake on the left side. A shot hit near the lake will give a player the best opportunity on his approach, which will require anything from a 4-iron to a 6-iron to reach the green.

Most Troublesome Hazards: The lake looms between the tee and the middle of the fairway. A bunker guards the left side of the green, and a steep grass mound guards the right side of the green.

Toughest Pin Placement: Any placement on the right side of the green.

Fred Funk's Take: "Really tough. It's a hole where most guys, if it's playing downwind, you're not going to hit driver. You're going to hit iron. The key to No. 4 is getting it in that fairway and obviously avoid the water on the left. The tendency of a lot of players trying to avoid going into the water, they hit to the right into the trees. The best way to play that hole is to stay aggressive. Hit it as far down as you can, because it is a pretty tough second shot into the green."
