Boys' Soccer

F Luiz Cartagena

Gar-Field / Senior

Coming off a knee injury that forced him to miss all of his junior season, the lanky striker improved on the form that made him one of the area's top young players as a sophomore. Displaying a high intelligence for the game and an unmatched ability on the ball, Cartagena was the area's most dangerous striker. Was devastating in one-on-one situations. Though teams looked to double- and triple-team him, Cartagena found ways to make them pay, finishing with 18 goals and three assists. Plans to forgo college to pursue a professional career.
