F Margaret 'Midge' Purce

With a potent mix of speed and skills, Purce played at a pace defenses couldn't keep up with this fall. The forward finished with 30 goals and 17 assists for the top-ranked Falcons, becoming the first junior to earn fall girls' soccer All-Met Player of the Year honors since O'Connell's Annie Murphy in 1991. The two-time WCAC Player of the Year led a dynamic attack that averaged more than four goals per game and helped Good Counsel win its first 19 matches of the season. GK Kirsten Glad

St. John's / Sr.

Recorded a school-record nine shutouts, including a 1-0 win over Bishop Ireton in the WCAC final. Will play for UNC Greensboro.

D Jordan Coburn

Centennial / Sr.

Anchored a defense that gave up just six goals this season. Added three goals and three assists. Will play for Virginia Tech.

D Casey Mann

Potomac School / Sr.

Two-time All-Met shut down some of the area's top offensive players for the Panthers. Weighing several Division I offers. Video

Bethesda-CC / Sr.

Versatile playmaker helped the Barons to a fourth straight state title. Led team with 12 goals despite a late knee injury. Video

MF Jamie Kator

Blair / Sr.

Paced Blazers' attack with 20 goals and 15 assists. Finished career with a school-record 47 assists. Will play for Vanderbilt.

MF Maisie McCune

St. John's / Sr.

Maryland recruit controlled the center for the WCAC champion Cadets, finishing with 10 goals and 14 assists.

MF Gabby Moreno

Severna Park / Sr.

Came back from a knee injury to post 15 goals and eight assists and lead the Falcons to the Md. 4A final. Will play for Rutgers.

MF Kara Wilson

Sidwell Friends / Sr.

Two-time All-Met powered the Quakers to the ISL-AA regular season title with 19 goals and 13 assists. Will play for Duke. Video

F Imani Dorsey

Good Counsel / So.

Teamed with Midge Purce on one of the area's most explosive attacks, finishing with 22 goals and eight assists.

F Katrina Guillou

Bishop Ireton / Sr.

Sparked the Cardinals with 24 goals and 15 assists. Scored twice in a playoff upset of top-ranked Good Counsel.

F Aaran Parry

Tuscarora (Md.) / Jr.

Contributed to more than 70 percent of her team's scoring, piling up 22 goals and 11 assists. Has 56 goals in three seasons.

Coach Jill Twetten

Huntingtown

Second-year coach led the Hurricanes to an 18-1 record and the Maryland 3A title. The 1-0 win over Urbana in the final clinched the first state soccer crown for a Calvert County team, boys' or girls'. After falling in the 2010 3A final, Huntingtown came back even stronger, finishing unbeaten in Southern Maryland Athletic Conference play and outscoring its opponents 74-5 overall.
