Two-time Metros champion in 100 butterfly (50.66). Also won 200 free to help the Little Hoyas to a second-place finish at Metros.

Christopher Grimmett-Norris

Set Va. AAA state record in 200 free in 1:39.16 after being sidelined with a shoulder injury during regionals.

Philip Hu

Oakton / Sr.

Set Va. AAA state mark in 100 backstroke (49.44) and won 100 butterfly (50.58) at Northern Region championships.

Barry Mangold

Walter Johnson / Sr.

Led Wildcats to Md. state title with wins in 50 and 100 free — the former a new state record. Tied for Metros title in 100 free (45.83).

James Murphy

Led Rams to Va. AAA state title with a win in the 100 free (45.70) and key swims on the Rams’ second-place freestyle relays.

Paul O’Hara

Gonzaga / Sr.

Captained Eagles to third consecutive Metros title with wins in the 50 (20.57) and 100 freestyle (45.83) — the latter a tie.

Andrew Seliskar

Two-time Va. AAA champ in 100 fly and 200 IM, came within a second of national high school records in 100 breast and 100 fly.

Two-time Metros champion and first-time Md. state champion in diving. Posted area’s top score this season: 497.70 points.

Carsten Vissering

Two-time All-Met successfully defended 100 breast title (54.94) and won 200 IM (1:51.01) at Metros.

At the Va. Northern Region championship, Foos drove the Warhawks to a 56-point victory over Robinson, the eventual state champion, without an individual or relay victory. Foos inspired his team to beat the area's talent-laden powerhouses to claim Madison's first region crown.
