GK Michael Butts

Osbourn Park / Sr.

Missed six games with an injury, but returned to win 12 straight. Had five shutouts and a 0.92 GAA. Will play for George Mason.

D Ryan Flesch

Osbourn Park / Sr.

Repeat All-Met was the heart of Cardinal District champions. Scored six goals with 18 assists. Will play for William & Mary.

D Rhys Howard

Langley / Sr.

A 6-4 force in the middle of the back line, has uncanny composure on ball. Had four goals. Will play for James Madison.

D Ahmed Ismail

Oakton / Sr.

Skillful center back scored four goals and led squad that had 0.92 GAA in the regular season. Will play for George Mason.

MF Suli Dainkeh

South Lakes / Jr.

U.S. under-18 national player keyed resurgent Seahawks with stingy play in defensive holding role. Committed to Maryland. VIDEO

MF Simond Kargbo

Mount Vernon / Jr.

Able to push up top or drop centrally to hold ball, had 11 goals with 8 assists to lead Majors to just third district title since 1998.

MF Kevin Roberts

Colonial Forge / Sr.

Scored team-high 13 goals with nine assists to lead Eagles to first state semifinal berth. Will play for George Mason.

MF Michael Russo

McLean / Sr.

Was a standout holding mid to free up others but still led Highlanders with 10 goals. Will play for Central Florida.

F Brice Colcombe

Forest Park / Sr.

Jack of all trades for the Bruins but was most effective up top. Had nine goals and six assists. WIll play for George Mason.

F Ramzey Hassen

Gar-Field / Jr.

Perhaps the most skillful player in the area, was a threat every time he touched the ball. Scored 19 goals with 11 assists.

F OJ Porteria

Falls Church / Sr.

Most prolific scorer at Va. AAA level, took Jaguars to new heights with 24 goals, including a five-goal performance.

Coach of the year: Larry Nemerow

Osbourn Park

In his 21st season, Nemerow earns the award for the second time (he previously won in 2001) as his teams continue a legacy of winning. The Yellow Jackets have at least 12 victories in each of the past nine seasons and have lost just four games over the past three years. Finished 17-2 this season, capturing the AAA Cardinal District title for Nemerow's 275th career win.
