Alexis Franklin

Old Mill / Senior

The repeat All-Met Athlete of the Year was the gold standard for hurdling in the Washington area. One of the fastest hurdlers in the country, she established herself as an all-time great in the state of Maryland. She won the 400-meter hurdles at Penn Relays in 59.05 seconds before capturing the 100 hurdles (13.40) and 300 hurdles (41.25) at 4A East. Both times are fastest by an area performer this season. At the Maryland 4A championships, the 18-year-old won the 300 hurdles in 41.31, a state meet record. Will compete for Ohio State.
