School: Spalding. Year: Senior. Sports: Indoor track, field hockey, lacrosse. On the Field: Three-sport athlete competes in the 800 meters and mile run for the Cavaliers' indoor track team. In the fall, she was a midfielder on Spalding's field hockey team, which finished 15-1-3 and advanced to the Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland championship game. Paschall, a three-year starter, was named to the all-county team. Her best sport is lacrosse; last spring, she scored 55 goals and was first team all-county. She signed a letter-of-intent to play lacrosse at Vanderbilt. Off the Field: Paschall, who has a 3.87 grade-point average, was named to the principal's honor roll after earning all A's in the fall. She takes several advanced placement and honors classes, and says that her strongest subject is math. Paschall is a member of the National Honor Society and class council. On Sundays, she volunteers with Happy Helpers for the Homeless, an organization that provides meals to the homeless in Baltimore. In Her Own Words: "I think it's important for people to be well-rounded. If you have just one focus, it brings you away from everything else, especially during your younger years in life, when you're able to do everything you can. You should live your life to the fullest. School: Gonzaga. Year: Senior. Sport: Hockey. On the Ice: A four-year starter, Bodenheimer has captained the Eagles to another strong start (8-2) this season. Bodenheimer, a center, scored two goals and had an assist to lead the Eagles to a 9-4 win over DeMatha on Nov. 24, the Eagles' first against their primary rival since the 1999-2000 season. He also plays for the Prince William Panthers Midget AA club team, which he helped guide to the USA Hockey Southeast District tournament in Florida last season. Off the Ice: Bodenheimer carries a 3.77 weighted grade-point average and takes advanced classes, including AP European history and honors pre-calculus. He also participates in community service activities sponsored by Gonzaga, including local food drives. Last summer, Bodenheimer and some of his classmates spent a week in Camden, N.J., where they painted houses and renovated schools. Once a year, Bodenheimer and his Prince William teammates volunteer at Martha's Table, where they teach less fortunate people how to skate. He also plays guitar. In His Own Words: "I want to pursue a career in entertainment. I can see myself working as a television producer or working behind the scenes in music production.
