OT-DE Courtney Prince (Virginia Tech) and TE-LB Taylor Watson (Maryland) are back after playing key roles in school's first Maryland 3A title.
12. Good Counsel (8-4, 19)
The Falcons and LT-DE Nick Jenkins (Virginia) are seeking their first WCAC title; they lost to DeMatha by one point in the past two championships.
13. Sherwood (12-2, 6)
QB Deontay Twyman could break the career 7,000-yard and 75-touchdown marks this season for 2005's Maryland 4A runners-up.
14. Northwest (5-5, NR)
The Jaguars' five losses last year were by a total of 23 points, including four to teams that reached the postseason.
15. Stone Bridge (12-2, 7)
Eight offensive starters, including OL-DL Andrew Nuss (Notre Dame), are back for the Virginia AAA Division 5 state runners-up.
16. Westfield (10-2, 10)
The Bulldogs are 43-5 in their past 48 games. Four of those losses have come to Concorde District rival Oakton.
17. Seneca Valley (10-2, 16)
The Screaming Eagles boast at least six potential Division I recruits, including DT Donald Langley.
18. Ballou (4-7, NR)
Three Division I-caliber transfers from Coolidge give the Knights a chance for their first DCIAA championship.
19. Oakton (12-2, 4)
The defending Virginia AAA Division 6 champion must find 11 new defensive starters and weather a schedule comprised of teams that went 68-41 last season.
