About This Section
Coaches at more than 250 high schools in the Washington area were invited to nominate top athletes from their sports. Selections were made by Washington Post scholastic sports staff members Tim Eberly (girls soccer), Todd Jacobson (cross-country), Brian Straus (boys soccer) and Joe Whalen (field hockey). The scholastic staff members selecting the All-Met football team were Greg Brice, Darryl J. Caine, Tarik El-Bashir, Judith Evans, Sean P. Flynn, Rick Freeman, Jon Gallo, Alan Goldenbach, Todd Jacobson, Camille Powell, Angie Watts and Preston Williams.
