Bobby Lockhart, Handley, Sr.
Seven-time All-Met was the first runner in Virginia history to win the individual state title four times. Won the AA title this year in record time (15 minutes 10 seconds). His time of 14:42 at the 5K Great Meadows Octoberfest Invitational was the third best high school time in the country this season. Tied record set by current Michigan runner Alan Webb in the Foot Locker South Regon meet this year with a winning time of 14:43.

Beth Muehl, Northwest
Meuhl coached the Jaguars to the Maryland 3A championship by two points; they had moved up from 2A this year. The Jaguars won with depth: their top five runners finished within 41 seconds of each other in the state meet. Meuhl, in her third year, also directed the Germantown school to the Montgomery County and 3A West Region championships.

First Team
Maksudal Ali, Gaithersburg, Sr. Overcame injuries to finish third in the Maryland 4A meet; he led his team to a second-place finish. Stephen Bloom, Georgetown Prep, Sr. Interstate Athletic Conference champion also won Mid-Atlantic Private School race by 23 seconds. Phil Gaeta, Oakton, Sr. Won the Virginia AAA Concorde District and Northern Region individual titles. Finished fifth in state meet. Izudin Mehmedovic, Oakland Mills, Sr. Won the Maryland 1A individual championship for the second consecutive year. Also led Scorpions to team title. Rasheed Thompson, Herndon, Jr. Finished second in Virginia AAA Concorde District, third in Northern Region and fourth at the state meet.
Ben Stern, Georgetown Day, Sr. Two-time All-Met qualified for Foot Locker national meet by finishing eighth in Northeast Region.
Shane Stroup, River Hill, Sr. Howard County champion also set a meet record in the Maryland 3A championship (16 minutes 2 seconds).
