The Washington Post selects the Washington area's top high school athletes in four sports:
Boys' Soccer
Girls' Soccer
Football
Field Hockey
Boys' Cross-Country
Girls' Cross-Country

About This Section
Coaches at more than 250 schools in the Washington area were invited to nominate top athletes from their sports. Selections were made by Washington Post scholastic sports staff members Colin Fitzgibbons (boys' soccer), Sean P. Flynn (girls' soccer), Kynan W. Kelly (cross-country) and Ashton Williams (field hockey). The scholastic sports staff members selecting the All-Met football team were Darryl J. Caine, Heather A. Dinich, Tarik El-Bashir, Judith Evans, Colin Fitzgibbons, Sean P. Flynn, Jon Gallo, Alan Goldenbach, Todd Jacobson, Josh Leventhal, Steve Lewis, Jake Schaller, Dan Steinberg, Andrew van Esselstyn, Angela Watts and Preston Williams.
