Dominated the three-mile MileStat Invitational (17:52) and shocked most observers by running the state's top five-kilometer time (18:05) to qualify third at the Foot Locker South Region cross-country championships. Showed unselfishness of a veteran runner, holding herself back in the first mile of the ISL championship meet to help pull her fellow Potomac School runners to the team title. | 
| Coach of the Year | Dana Dobbs, Broadneck Guided the Bruins to the school's first Maryland 4A championship with only one senior and two juniors. The team, which was fourth in the state last year, also won the Anne Arundel and 4A East Region titles. Dobbs, a two-time gold medalist at the World Games for the Deaf, also coached the Broadneck boys to second place in the county, region and state. | 
First Team Sarah Bowman, Fauquier, Soph. Dominated the Virginia AA meet, winning in 18:48. Won Northwestern District and Region II meets by nearly 40 seconds. Lauren Centrowitz, Broadneck, Jr. Won region and county titles and took Maryland 4A crown by 11 seconds. Was 18th at Foot Locker Northeast Region meet. Beth Fahey, Forest Park, Jr. Placed seventh in Virginia AAA and clocked the state's eighth-fastest time (18:27) at the Foot Locker South Region meet. Emily Harrison, Warren County, Jr. Runner-up in Va. AA with meet's fourth-best time (19:17), regardless of classification. Was 13th at Foot Locker South Region meet. Morgan Phelan, Hayfield, Jr. Runner-up in Patriot District, Northern Region and Virginia AAA. Clocked state meet's third-fastest time (19:00). Joanna Rodgers, Robinson, Sr. Northern Region and Patriot District champ was 12th at Virginia AAA meet. Took 16th at Foot Locker South Region meet. Ashley St. Denis, Walter Johnson, Jr. Repeat All-Met won Montgomery County championship and her second straight Maryland 3A and West Region crowns.
