First-Team Offense

Rushed for at least 1,000 yards in all four seasons at Fairfax, including 1,700 and 22 touchdowns this season. Helped Rebels to 10-1 season and berth in the Virginia AAA Div. 6 playoffs.

RB Marcus Whalen Thomas Stone 6-0 205 Sr.
Powerful runner helped Cougars to 12-1 record and berth in the Maryland 3A state title game. Repeat All-Met who finished season with 1,975 yards and 18 rushing touchdowns.

TE Joe Larson Park View 6-3 215 Sr.
Played the key blocking back position in the Patriots' single-wing offense, essentially making it work so well it took Park View to the Virginia AA Div. 4 title game. Finished with 325 yards rushing and 380 yards receiving.

OL Robert Bennett Central 6-1 290 Sr.
Devastating run and pass blocker. Had 102 tackles, 17 sacks, 8 forced fumbles and 2 blocked kicks on defense.

OL Carl Dorr Centreville 6-3 255 Sr.
Strong two-way lineman was catalyst for Wildcats' 10-3 season and berth in the Virginia AAA Div. 6 playoffs. Committed to Wake Forest. Was named Northern Region defensive player of the year by coaches.

OL Daryll Ruth Dunbar 6-5 350 Sr.
Helped Crimson Tide to consecutive DCIAA titles, setting key blocks for RB James Lynch and QB Michael Coles. Being recruited by several Division I schools.

OL Eric Noll Watkins Mill 6-4 295 Sr.
Committed to Penn State in September. Led Wolverines to 9-2 record and berth in Maryland 4A state playoffs. On defense, recorded 45 tackles and 10 sacks.

WR Pat Godfrey Yorktown 6-3 175 Sr.
Sixteen touchdown receptions broke a 30-year-old, single-season school record. Finished with 40 receptions for 710 yards in leading Patriots to Virginia AAA Div. 5 Northern Region title.

WR Nate Ilaoa North Stafford 5-10 175 Jr.
A precise route-runner, also has an excellent combination of speed and hands. Broke Virginia record for yards in a season with 1,313 and finished with 82 receptions.

PK Cary Greenfield Loudoun County 5-9 155 Sr.
Set Virginia AA record with 12 field goals (on 19 attempts) this season. Kicked five field goals in a game this season, four of at least 38 yards. Made 55 of 58 extra-point attempts in career.

Two-way lineman committed to Boston College after receiving 18 Division I scholarship offers. Had 90 tackles and two blocked field goals for the Rams.

DL Jason Lallis DeMatha 6-3 235 Sr.
Teamed with Derek Wake to give Stags one of the area's most intense pass-rushes. Also a two-year starter at tight end.

LB Sydney Baskins Suitland 6-1 230 Sr.
Tireless linebacker had 190 total tackles this season, 310 in past two years. Also had five sacks this season.

LB James Lynch Dunbar 6-0 245 Sr.
Intimidating two-way player rushed for 1,435 yards as a fullback and recorded 98 tackles for the two-time defending DCIAA champion. Committed to Maryland.

LB Jason Crawford Parkdale 6-2 220 Sr.
Devastating tackler played defense for first time in career. Had 14 tackles and an interception return for a touchdown in his first game at linebacker. Is being recruited by several Division I schools as a running back after rushing for 1,300 yards and 14 touchdowns.

DB D.J. Walton Hylton 6-0 190 Jr.
Combined speed and power to record 104 tackles and four interceptions for the two-time defending Virginia AAA Div. 6 champion. Also rushed for 1,094 yards and 17 touchdowns.

DB Steven Barber Culpeper 6-3 210 Sr.
Led Culpeper to 14-0 record and first Virginia AAA Div. 5 title. Recorded 200 tackles, six interceptions and forced three fumbles. Also had two crucial interceptions in playoffs.

DB Gerald Smith Howard 5-11 175 Sr.
Returned from early-season knee injury to rush for 900 yards and 12 touchdowns. Led Lions to Howard County title.

DB LeVar Scott Seneca Valley 6-3 185 Sr.
Big-play threat for three-time defending Maryland state champion Screaming Eagles. Set school record with four interceptions in one game earlier this season; finished with nine interceptions. Also caught 50 passes for 1,134 yards and 17 touchdowns.

DB Rayvon Johnson Annapolis 5-10 180 Sr.
Repeat All-Met had three interceptions and rushed for 1,984 yards and 27 touchdowns for Panthers. Anne Arundel County's all-time leading rusher with 4,044 yards.

KR Glenn Thomas Potomac (Md.) 6-2 165 Sr.
Returned three kickoffs for touchdowns. Also returned two of his seven interceptions for scores.



Offensive Player of the Year
QB Chris Kelley Seneca Valley 6-2 205 Sr.
A two-time All-Met, Kelley makes it this year at quarterback after being named as a linebacker last season. Was 26-0 as starting QB and the Screaming Eagles were 39-0 – with three consecutive state titles – with him somewhere in their starting lineup. Brother John Kelley was an All-Met tight end last year.



Defensive Player of the Year
DL Derek Wake DeMatha 6-3 225 Sr.
Came to the Hyattsville school to play basketball, then decided to try football his junior year. Recorded 17 sacks this season, including two four-sack games. Has 17 Div. I scholarship offers, including Penn State, Maryland, Michigan and Virginia Tech.



Coach of the Year
  Craig Jefferies Dunbar      
Fourth-year coach has led team to past two DCIAA titles. Crimson Tide is unbeaten in league play since 1997. Also has scheduled some of the top teams in the area, including Hylton and DeMatha.
