    Senior, Defender
    Tenacious defensive wing had 36 goals and nine assists.
    Led team to fifth consecutive Independent School League tournament title.
    A coaches' selection to the South 1 regional all-star team.
    Will attend Georgetown on lacrosse scholarship.

    Mount Hebron
    Was 68-7 in four years as coach of Ellicott City school heading into Maryland 2A/1A semifinals.
    Vikings ended the regular season 14-0 and won their 11th Howard County title in the past 12 seasons.
    Maryland 2A/1A champions (1997, 1998). Runner-up in 1996.

    First Team
    Caroline Bellino | St. Stephen's/SA
    The Johns Hopkins-bound senior attack led the Saints in points during the regular season with 73 goals and 41 assists.

    Summer Crabtree | St. Stephen's/SA
    Senior defender is a repeat All-Met selection headed to Princeton. She had 14 goals and 19 assists this season. Versatile defender led the Alexandria school to the ISL championship. Was a coaches' selection to the South 1 team.

    Bridget Frande | Mount Hebron
    Senior midfielder turned down partial scholarship offers to Duquesne and Towson and hopes to be a walk-on in lacrosse at University of Maryland. Had 42 goals and six assists. Named to Chesapeake Schoolgirls A team.

    Shannon Jarrett | Lake Braddock
    Senior midfielder was one of the area's top draw-controllers. Had 32 goals and 30 assists leading Lake Braddock to a 15-0 record and Patriot District title. Won at least 60 percent of draws.

    Lauren Kickham | Mount Hebron
    The junior attack is a two-time Howard County player of the year and had 38 goals and 22 assists in the regular season. Set school's single-season record for groundballs (131).

    Kim Lawton | Severna Park
    Junior goalie made 10 saves in a 6-5 victory over Annapolis in the Anne Arundel County championship. Recorded 118 saves and allowed 59 goals.

    Christy McNew | Annapolis
    The senior attack was a three-year starter and had 39 goals and 30 assists this season. Has signed with Loyola (Md.).

    Sarah Oliphant | Annapolis
    Sophomore attack led the Panthers to the Maryland 4A/3A East region title scoring 45 goals and 31 assists. Selected to the Chesapeake A schoolgirls team.

    Lauren Peck | Broadneck
    Senior midfielder was a four-year starter and had 64 goals and 39 assists this season. Peck holds the school record for career points (172 goals, 71 assists). Has signed with Loyola (Md.).

    Polly Purcell | Mount Hebron
    The junior attack led the Vikings to the Howard County title and Maryland 2A/1A state semifinal with 36 goals and 37 assists.

    Julie Shank | Severna Park
    Senior defender is a three-time All-Met who has signed with Maryland. Had strong all-around season with 23 goals, 10 assists and 52 groundballs.
