  • Sophomore. Undefeated this season. Only area girls swimmer to win two events at Metros meet (200 freestyle, 100 butterfly).
  • All-American in 100 butterfly. Swam Washington area's fastest time in the 200 freestyle. Among top five in three other events.
  • Washington Prep School champion in 50 and 100 freestyles. Holds four school records.

  • Second-year coach directed Bowie to its first-ever Prince George's County meet championship, ending Eleanor Roosevelt's 12-year winning streak.
  • Bulldogs earned their first top 10 finish at Washington Metros Championship meet. Went 5-0 during regular season. Bowie's 400 freestyle relay team broke the 10-year-old county record.

    Melissa Bartlett Sherwood Sr.
    Repeat All-Met. All-American in 500 freestyle. Metros champion and area's fastest time in 200 IM. Montgomery County champion in 200 IM, 500 freestyle.
    Katie Brown Good Counsel Jr.
    Three-time All-Met. Metros champion in 100 breaststroke for third straight year. National Catholic Champion in 200 IM and 100 breaststroke. Broke two school records.
    Lindsey Ertter Langley Soph.
    All-American, Virginia AAA champion, and area's fastest time in 100 breaststroke. Virginia AAA and Northern Region champion in 200 IM. Qualified for 2000 Olympic Trials.
    Molly Freedman Sidwell Friends Sr.
    Three-time All-Met. All-American, Metros champion, and area's fastest time in 500 freestyle. Washington Prep School champion in 200 IM and 500 free.
    Regan Gosnell Holton-Arms Sr.
    Repeat All-Met. Won Metros one-meter diving championship for second consecutive year. Two-time Washington Prep School diving champion. Also captured ISL title.
    Amber O'Reilly Hayfield Sr.
    Captured third straight Virginia AAA and Northern Region one-meter diving titles. Undefeated and posted area's highest diving score this season.
    Cynthia Roller Herndon Jr.
    All-American and area's fastest time in 100 butterfly. Virginia AAA and Northern Region champion and state meet record holder in 100 butterfly. Qualified for 2000 Olympic Trials.
    Marshi Smith W.T. Woodson Fr.
    Swam area's fastest times in 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke. Virginia AAA and Northern Region champion in both events. State record holder in 100 backstroke.
    Laura Ullrich Centreville Fr.
    Swam area's fastest time in 50 freestyle. Virginia AAA and Northern Region champion in 50 freestyle. School record holder in 50 freestyle and went undefeated in the event.
