    Three-time Athlete of the Year
    Became the first U.S. female athlete to repeat as 400 hurdles champion at Penn Relays.
    The 5-foot-4 hurdler owns area's top times in 100 hurdles at 13.91 seconds – a school record – and 300 hurdles (42.78).

    Coach of the Year
    Inez Bryant
    West Potomac

    Guided the Wolverines girls team to an undefeated spring season, including a victory at the 17th annual T.C. Williams Invitational by 23 points.
    During her 12-year career coaching boys and girls, Bryant's teams have won 25 district championships, 12 regional titles and placed second at states five times.BR>

    First Team
    KC Allen | Calvert
    Repeat All-Met, Allen, a 5-foot-1 senior, has the area's top mark in the pole vault at 11-0. Three-time defending Southern Maryland Athletic Conference pole vault champion.

    Liz Awtrey | Robinson
    Awtrey began the year having never won an individual state title. But the senior since has won the Virginia AAA cross-country championship, the 3,200 at the AAA indoor track championships and has the area's best time in the outdoor season in the 3,200 (10:33.04). Committed to Villanova.

    Keva Belcher | Northwestern
    Repeat All-Met. Belcher is a model of consistency, winning the 100, 200 as well as running legs on the winning 4x100 and 4x200 relay teams the past three years at the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference outdoor track championships. Committed to Pittsburgh.

    Teyarnte Carter | Long Reach
    The Columbia school's nickname is the Lightning and Carter has been almost that fast in the 100. The junior has the fastest electronic time (11.42) and hand-held time (11.7) in the area.

    Jessica DeFreitas | Eleanor Roosevelt
    Has the area's best long jump at 19-5. At the Prince George's County championships, she had victories in 100 (12.09), 200 (24.9) and triple jump (36-6). The senior has the area's second-fastest electronic time in 100 (11.82).

    Samantha Hall | Stafford
    Went undefeated this spring in the discus, earning first-place finishes in the event at the T.C. Williams Invitational, the I-95 Classic and the Pacers Twilight Classic in Brentsville. The senior has an area-best throw of 133-10.

    Jennifer Nelms | Spotsylvania
    The 5-foot-7 sophomore cleared 5 foot 8 this season to set a new school record. Nelms also placed fifth out of 20 jumpers at Penn Relays (5-6) and broke two meet records at Last Chance Invitational in Louisa in the high jump (5-7) and 400.

    Sharon O'Connor | Mount Vernon
    Repeat All-Met, the senior won the 1,600 (4:56) and 800 (2:12) at T.C. Williams Invitational and at Tennessee Classic Invitational. Placed second in the mile at Penn Relays. Committed to Virginia.

    India Odum | Hayfield
    Broke the Alexandria school's record in the shot put twice this spring. The junior threw an area-best mark of 39-11. Placed seventh at Penn Relays in shot put.

    Kelly Otstott | Jefferson
    Repeat All-Met was the most valuable performer at the Allen Johnson Invitational winning the 800 and 1,600. At Penn Relays, Otstott anchored second-place Championship of America distance medley relay and fourth-place Championship of America 4x800 relay.

    Faith Rein | Centreville
    Repeat All-Met. Was the most valuable performer at the T.C. Williams Invitational after winning 200 (24.96 seconds) and 400 (54.73 seconds). Verbally committed to Florida.

    Erin Sicher | Good Counsel
    Repeat All-Met. Was Washington Catholic Athletic Conference's most valuable performer at the championship outdoor track meet, winning the 800, 1,600 and 3,200. Sicher captured 13 outdoor track conference titles during her four-year career. Committed to Georgetown.

    Yolanda Thompson | West Potomac
    Repeat All-Met. Was named most valuable field event athlete at the Scudieri Invitational, T.C. Williams Invitational and Allen Johnson Invitational. Won triple jump at Penn Relays. Verbally committed to Florida.

    Honorable Mention
