    — Repeat All-Met.
    — All-around champion at Virginia AAA Northern Region meet.
    — Scored 56.35, and won three events, in winning Northern Region title.

    BOYS COACH OF THE YEAR
    Holly Hammerle
    Chantilly
    — In her 31st and final season of coaching, had the largest turnout for boys gymnastics among Virginia AAA Northern Region teams for ninth straight year.
    — Over past three years, has placed seven gymnasts on Virginia state team which competes for national championship.

    Ryan Scott
    Severna Park/Sr.
    Anne Arundel/Maryland state champion in all-around. Led team to state title. All-around champion at each dual meet this season.

    — Repeat All-Met.
    — Won vault at Virginia AAA state championships for second straight season.
    — Second all-around in state and Northern Region.

    GIRLS COACH OF THE YEAR

    Lake Braddock
    — Led Bruins to Virginia AAA state, Northern Region and Patriot District championships for fourth consecutive season.
    — Girls teams are 80-0 in dual meets over past four seasons.
    — Five-time Coach of the Year (three times for boys, twice for girls).

    Won the floor exercise and finished third on vault at Virginia state meet, finishing fourth all-around. Third all-around in AAA Northern Region.

    Broadneck/Sr.
    Anne Arundel County and District 5 all-around champion. All-Met as a freshman. Will attend Auburn.

    Gillian Cote
    James Monroe/Sr.
    1997 gymnast of the Year. Virginia AA regional meet champion in all events. Will attend Maryland.

    Michelle Kepick
    Lake Braddock/Soph.
    Virginia AAA Northern Region all-around champion, winning the beam and the vault. Third on vault and second in the floor exercise at Virginia state meet.

    Carissa Rubini
    Springbrook/Jr.
    Montgomery County co-all-around champion. Won all-around at every dual meet this season.

    Chrissy Samwell
    Quince Orchard/Sr.
    Three-time all-Met. Montgomery County co-all-around champion, winning balance beam, floor and vault. Undefeated in the all-around at dual meets this season.

    Allison Shonerd
    Lee/Fr.
    Virginia AAA Liberty District champion. Northern Region floor exercise champion. Finished fifth all-around at Virginia state meet.
