At one point during the season, Courtney, a left-hander, threw five consecutive no-hitters and led the Brandywine school to 18 straight victories. The 5-foot-7 senior also was effective from the plate batting .630 with 34 RBI. Career record of 57-4 with 44 shutouts, 25 no-hitters, 18 one-hitters and five perfect games.
