    Three-time All-Met.
    Junior pitcher led the Arlington private school to its sixth straight WCAC championship and sixth consecutive Virginia Independent Schools title.
    Posted a 22-3 regular-season record with an 0.40 earned run average. Threw five no-hitters and 14 shutouts. Posted 218 strikeouts and yielded only 20 walks in 174 innings.
    Batted a team-high .447 with 3 home runs, 7 triples, and 38 RBI.

    Retiring 15th-year coach directed the small Laurel private school its third straight Washington Catholic Athletic Conference North Division championship.
    Guided the Panthers to the WCAC tournament title game for the seventh time in nine seasons.
    Career record of 242-68 at Pallotti through the end of the regular season.

    First Team
    OF Lisa Boone | Northern
    .500 Avg. - 4 HR - 18 RBI
    Senior led the Owings school with a team-high 35 runs, 10 more than the combined total of its opponents this season. Had two triples, 14 stolen bases, and a .627 on-base percentage. Earned all-SMAC honors. Committed to UMBC.

    P Kara Brotemarkle | Centreville
    17-3 W-L - 0.73 ERA - 247 K
    Concorde District player of the year. Struck out an average of 1.8 batters per inning, raising her career strikeout total to 612. The junior threw three no-hitters and 13 shutouts for the Wildcats.

    3B Patty Brown | Westlake
    .394 Avg. - 3 HR - 21 RBI
    Versatile senior also played catcher and pitcher for the Waldorf school, which finished second in the Southern Maryland Athletic Conference. Scored 18 runs and had three triples. Named first-team all-SMAC. Will attend Delaware State.

    C Jillian Callaway | Grace Brethren
    .583 Avg. - 2 HR - 23 RBI
    University of Maryland recruit displayed a strong arm and lots of hustle. Made no errors behind the plate. Hit five triples and scored a team-high 28 runs for the Prince George's County private school.

    P Shannon Courtney | Gwynn Park
    18-1 W-L - 0.14 ERA - 208 K
    Pitched eight no-hitters, four-one hitters and one perfect game for the Prince George's County 3A champion. At one point during the season, Courtney, a left-hander, threw five consecutive no-hitters and led the Brandywine school to 18 straight victories. The 5-foot-7 senior also was effective from the plate batting .630 with 34 RBI. Career record of 57-4 with 44 shutouts, 25 no-hitters, 18 one-hitters and five perfect games. Committed to Elon College.

    OF Tasha Galecki | Fauquier
    .585 Avg. - 0 HR - 11 RBI
    Senior all-Northwestern District selection threw out five runners from center field, including two at first base. Led the Warrenton school with 25 runs and 24 stolen bases. Will play softball and volleyball at Mount Olive (N.C.) College.

    SS Kelli Leachman | Pallotti
    .542 Avg. - 2 HR - 30 RBI
    Senior started every game at shortstop the past four years and is the career hit and home run leader at the Laurel private school. Hit safely in 20 of 23 games and had two or more RBI in 11 games to lead the Panthers to their third straight WCAC North Division title. Scored 23 runs and had 12 stolen bases. Covers lots of ground defensively and had a fielding percentage of .964. Committed to Furman.

    P Morgan Marr | Madison
    17-1 W-L - 0.23 ERA - 134 K
    Two-time Liberty District player of the year and four-time all-Northern Region selection. Threw 12 shutouts, including five straight, and one no-hitter to lead the Vienna school to the district regular-season title. Senior right-hander limited opponents to two or fewer hits in 12 of 18 games. Committed to Kentucky.

    2B Val McDowell | Arundel
    .459 Avg. - 0 HR - 9 RBI
    Led the Gambrills school in five offensive categories, including runs scored (21) and stolen bases (12). The senior had only two errors. Committed to Catawba.

    DH Renee Oursler | Northern
    .523 Avg. - 8 HR - 26 RBI
    Senior led the Owings school to the Southern Maryland Athletic Conference championship with a slugging percentage of 1.062. Two-time all-SMAC shortstop had a team-leading four triples and 15 stolen bases. Committed to South Florida.

    UT Katy Shaughnessy | Edison
    .617 Avg. - 2 HR - 19 RBI
    Repeat All-Met. Three-time Virginia AAA National District player of the year. Senior had 26 stolen bases to raise career total to Virginia-record 148. Scored 39 runs and had a .970 fielding percentage. Will attend Elon College.

    1B Selena Smart | Calvert
    .362 Avg. - 0 HR - 9 RBI
    Committed only one error in 20 games for the Prince Frederick school. Senior scored 15 runs and had an on-base percentage of .670. Committed to Western Maryland.

    OF M.K. White | Madison
    .448 Avg. - 0 HR - 11 RBI
    For the second straight season, was named all-Liberty District and had the Warhawks' highest batting average. Scored team-best 21 runs. Threw out three runners at first base from right field.
