Gymnast of the Year |  Coach of the Year
First-Team  |  Honorable Mention

Gymnast of the Year
Michelle Pearson, Edison, Sr.
Two-time All-Met and two-time Gymnast of the Year. Won the all-around at the Virginia AAA individual championships with a state-record 39.375. She set the record the year before. Also won the vault with a state-record-tying 9.95.



Coach of the Year
Judy Warren, Chantilly
In 11th season as Chargers' coach, Warren directed the three-time Virginia AAA Concorde District champion to their first state team title. Chantilly also won the Northern Region championship.



First Team
Nicole Bascope, Lake Braddock, Sr.
Three-time All-Met placed fifth in the all-around at the individual state championships with a 38.675. Committed to James Madison.

Jamie Schell, Gaithersburg, Jr.
Led Trojans to first Montgomery County title by scoring a 38.175 at county championships. During regular season, she went undefeated in all-around, vault and bars.

Peggy Smith, Chantilly, Sr.
Led Chargers to first Virginia AAA team title. Tied for fourth on vault (9.850) and tied for ninth in floor (9.55) at the individual state championships. Committed to East Carolina.

Michelle Kepick, Lake Braddock, Sr.
Senior scored 9.65 to tie for fourth on the balance beam at the Virginia AAA team championships, leading team to second-place finish. Committed to Radford.

Sarah Brown, Stafford, Soph.
Two-time All-Met won all-around titles at Virginia AAA Commonwealth District and Northwest Region meets. Was undefeated in all-around entering the state team championship.
