Player of the Year
F Taline Tahmassian, Langley, Jr.
Repeat All-Met had 24 goals and 10 assists this season and has 64 goals and 25 assists in her varsity career. Was 1999 and 2000 AAA Northern Region player of the year and is a member of the U.S. under-16 national team and USYSA under-17 all-star team.



Coach of the Year
Bernie McHale, Yorktown
Led Patriots (12--1) to Virginia AAA National District regular season title and best record in school history. Was named district coach of the year and had five players named first team all-district. Has a four-year record of 32-15.



First Team
GK Joel Boyd, T.C. Williams, Sr.
Repeat All-Met, AAA Patriot District player of the year. Played every minute of every game past two seasons. Allowed just 10 goals in first 16 games this spring.
GK Kristen McNeil, Lake Braddock, Sr.
Recorded six shutouts in the regular season; has more than 150 saves in her varsity career. Signed with Appalachian State.
D Katie Beal, West Potomac, Jr.
Named a 1999 National Soccer Coaches Association of America all-American and played two years on U.S. under-16 national team. Recently competed in the USYS/adidas Cup in Houston.
D Natalie Ingold, Hylton, Sr.
Repeat All-Met led Bulldogs to 10 shutouts through the Cardinal District semifinals. Had 15 career assists. Signed with Mary Washington.
D Missy Somadelis, Oakton, Sr.
Was the top marking back in the Virginia AAA Concorde District; had one goal and four assists. First-team all-Northern Region. Signed with Virginia.
MF Tara Flint, Potomac Falls, Sr.
Northwestern District player of the year had 12 goals and 10 assists for the district champion. Signed with William & Mary.
MF Kelly Melton, Woodbridge, Sr.
Directed the Vikings' offense and had eight goals and six assists. Had six goals and 14 assists as a junior. Signed with Virginia.
MF Kerry Robinson, Robinson, Soph.
Had 11 goals and 12 assists through district semifinals. Recorded hat tricks against T.C. Williams and West Potomac.
F Andrea Barschdorf, McLean, Soph.
Had 14 goals and eight assists in the regular season. Scored game-winning goals against Lake Braddock and McLean. First-team all-Northern Region.
F Casey McCluskey, West Springfield, Jr.
Talented playmaker had nine goals and six assists for Patriot District champion. Six-time member of the state Olympic Development Program team. First-team all-Northern Region.
F Lauren Vanni, West Springfield, Sr.
Four-year starter has more than 65 goals and 35 assists in her career. Member of the regional ODP team. Signed with Boston College. First-team all-Northern Region.
F Liana Wooten, Woodbridge, Soph.
Prolific scorer had 20 goals and five assists this season. First-team all-Cardinal District player has scored more than 40 goals in her varsity career.
