About This Section
Coaches at more than 250 schools in the Washington area were invited to nominate top athletes from their sports. Selections were made by Washington Post scholastic staff members Colin Fitzgibbons (girls' lacrosse), Sean P. Flynn (track and field), Dustin Gouker (golf and tennis), Kynan W. Kelly (rowing), Christopher B. Jenkins (girls' soccer), Brian Straus (boys' soccer), Christian Swezey (boys' lacrosse) and Dave Yanovitz (gymnastics).
The All-Met baseball team was chosen by Tarik El-Bashir, Josh Leventhal and Dan Steinberg; the All-Met softball team by Paul Bergeron, Judith Evans and Dave Yanovitz.
