Golfer of the Year
Garrett Pike | Potomac Falls | Jr.
Repeat Golfer of the Year won the Virginia AA championship with a first-round 68 and state record two-day total of of 139 (3 under par). Led Panthers to first-ever state title and to Region II and Dulles District crowns. Also won district's individual title and averaged 71 this season.

Coach of the Year
John Thiem Sr. | McDonough
Fourth-year coach guided the Rams to an undefeated season a year after finishing in the middle of the pack in the Southern Maryland Athletic Conference. McDonough swept through the postseason, winning SMAC, District 4, and Maryland 4A/3A titles.

First Team
Skip Clasper, Wootton, Jr.: Averaged 73.5 per 18 holes -- and carded a pair of 69s -- before winning Maryland District 2 tournament with a 72. Finished in a tie for fourth in the state tournament.
Stephanie Connelly, Fr., Northeast: Won Maryland girls', District 5 and Anne Arundel County girls' titles. Won state title by nine strokes, finishing with a two-day total of 148. Led all county golfers with an 18-hole average of 74.
Thomas Feldman, Georgetown Day, Sr.: Repeat All-Met. Won Mid-Atlantic Conference individual championship with a 71 and led team to MAC title and undefeated record. Averaged 36.8 per nine holes and went 10-1-1 in regular season.
Joseph Gross Jr., McDonough, Fr.: Nearly swept the postseason tournaments, including victories at the SMAC, District 4 and state tournaments. Averaged 71.5, finishing under par in almost every round.
Chris McCartin, Yorktown, Soph.: National District champion won Northern Region tournament in a playoff with Jenny Suh after posting a 1-over-par 145. Finished 10th in Virginia AAA tournament.
Ryan Price, Paul VI Catholic, Jr.: Repeat All-Met. Led Panthers to second straight WCAC regular season title by going 10-0-1 at No. 1, his second consecutive undefeated season. Won Virginia State Catholic Tournament with a 75.
Joe Scheffres, Landon, Sr.: Repeat All-Met. Four-time all-IAC golfer averaged 36.6 per nine holes, breaking the record for one of the area's top programs. Placed second in Private Schools Championship with a 74.
Will Shriver, Gonzaga, Jr.: WCAC champion led Eagles to postseason sweep of conference and Private Schools championships. Lost just once in match play this season and twice in his career.
Jenny Suh, Chantilly, Jr.: Three-time All-Met and Concorde District champion averaged 72 per 18 holes during the season. Placed second in the Northern Region and was the area's best finisher in the Virginia AAA tournament, taking fourth.
