About the Selections
Coaches at more than 250 high schools in the Washington area were invited to nominate top athletes from their sports. Selections were made by The Washington Post's scholastic staff of Josh Barr, Paul Bergeron, Judith Evans, Sean P. Flynn, Tarik El-Bashir, Jon Gallo, Alan Goldenbach, Jake Schaller, Lauren Silva, Will Toussaint, Angela Watts, Ashton Williams, Preston Williams and Dave Yanovitz.
