Gymnast of the Year

Langley
After a two-year absence from high school gymnastics, Faulkner roared back onto the scene. She won the Virginia AAA Northern Region all-around title, including a first-place finish on the beam, and went on to place second all-around at the state individual championships.

Brown led her team to the Cedar Run District, Northwestern Region and Virginia AAA championships. At the regional meet, Osbourn Park set a team scoring record with 149.85 points.

The all-around champion in the Cedar Run District led her team to the district, region and AAA state titles. She placed second all-around in the Northwestern Region, including a win on the bars and a second-place finish on the vault. The repeat All-Met placed second all-around in the AAA Cedar Run District and third all-around in the Northwestern Region, including a first-place finish on the beam. She placed ninth all-around at the Virginia individual championships. The three-time All-Met won the AAA Northwestern Region all-around championship, including a first-place finish in the floor. Frakes placed eighth all-around at the Virginia individual championships, best among Northwestern Region gymnasts. Hayden won the individual all-around title in the AAA Concorde District, placing first on the bars, beam and floor. She placed second all-around in the Northern Region and fourth all-around at the Virginia individual championships. At states, she won the bars title with a score of 9.85. The repeat All-Met won Maryland and Montgomery County all-around titles for the third year in a row, winning the state meet with a 37.8. She also won individual event titles at the state meet on vault and balance beam, and highlighted the county meet with a 9.85 on vault.
