About This Section
Coaches at more than 250 high schools in the Washington area were invited to nominate top athletes from their sports. Selections were made by Washington Post scholastic staff members Greg Brice (wrestling), Sean P. Flynn (volleyball), Dustin Gouker (ice hockey), Todd Jacobson (indoor track and field) and Joe Whalen (swimming and diving). The scholastic staff members selecting the All-Met basketball teams were Darryl J. Caine, Tim Eberly, Tarik El-Bashir, Judith Evans, Jon Gallo, Alan Goldenbach, Todd Jacobson, Camille Powell, Angie Watts, Joe Whalen, Preston Williams and Dave Yanovitz.
