About the Photos
All group photos were taken in and around the Great Hall at the National Building Museum, 401 F St. in Northwest D.C. Special thanks go to Jill Dixon, director of public affairs, and the staff at the museum.

About the Selections
Coaches at more than 250 high schools in the Washington area were invited to nominate top athletes from their sports. Selections were made by Washington Post scholastic sports staff members Sean P. Flynn (indoor track and field and volleyball), Dustin Gouker (ice hockey), Christopher B. Jenkins (swimming and diving) and Josh Leventhal (wrestling). The scholastic sports staff members selecting the All-Met basketball teams were Darryl J. Caine, Heather A. Dinich, Tarik El-Bashir, Judith Evans, Sean P. Flynn, Christopher B. Jenkins, Jon Gallo, Alan Goldenbach, Todd Jacobson, Josh Mitchell, Dan Steinberg, Will Toussaint, Preston Williams, Angie Watts and Dave Yanovitz.
