The three-time All-Met won his third consecutive 100-yard backstroke title at the Metro and Prep League championships. Won the 100 butterfly at Metros for the second time in three seasons. Undefeated in dual meets over his four year career. Set team records in five individual events. Will swim for California.

The 12th-year coach led a senior-laden team -- which included his twin sons, Scott and Kirk -- to the school's first Metro Championships title in more than 30 years. The Little Hoyas also captured the Interstate Athletic Conference crown.

Two-time Virginia AAA diving champion. Captured the Northern Region diving title and was a four-time Liberty District title winner.
Rick Eddy, Westfield, Sr.
The Virginia AAA and Northern Region record-holder in the 100 breaststroke. Won third state and regional titles this season. Will swim for Stanford.
Alan Fishman, Stuart, Sr.
The 6-foot-10 backstroker won his first Virginia AAA title in 52.16 seconds. Also won the 100 back at the Northern Region meet. Set a National District record in the 100 breaststroke and won the 200 individual medley.
Kenny Jenkins, Walter Johnson, Soph.
Diver set a Montgomery County record with 574.55 points at the county meet. Was diving champion at Metros and the divisional meet.
Ryan McCabe, Gonzaga, Jr.
Undefeated in freestyle events this season. Won the 100 and 200 free at Prep League meet and Catholic Nationals, where he was named swimmer of the meet. Set three team records.
Steuart Martens, Whitman, Sr.
Scholastic all-American won 500 freestyle at Metros and took third place in the 200 freestyle. Purdue signee placed 16th at Olympic trials in 5K open-water event.
Chris Meleski, South Lakes, Jr.
Holds the area's fastest times in the 200 and 500 freestyle. Set a Virginia AAA record in the 500 and defended his 200 free title. Also won regional titles in the 200 and 500.
Joe Pascale, Paul VI Catholic, Sr.
Defended his 100 freestyle championship at Metros and finished second in the 50 free. Team captain won the Prep League championship in the 50 free.
Mike Ott, Oakton, Jr.
Won the 200 individual medley and 100 freestyle at Virginia AAA meet. Had area's fastest 100 free and 200 IM times. Swam all-American consideration times in the 50 free, 100 free and the 200 IM.
Dan Velez, Good Counsel, Sr.
Broke 15-year-old record in the 100 breaststroke at Metros. Had the area's best 100 breast time. Also won the 200 IM at Metros and the 100 breast at Prep League and Catholic national meets.
