All group photos other than swimming and diving were taken at MCI Center in Washington. Swimming and diving photos were taken at The Washington Post's Northwest offices.

About the Selections
Coaches at more than 250 high schools in the Washington area were invited to nominate top athletes from their sports. Selections were made by Washington Post scholastic sports staff members Brian Costa (hockey), Sean P. Flynn (indoor track and field), Josh Leventhal (wrestling) and Charlie Moss (swimming and diving). The scholastic sports staff members selecting the All-Met basketball teams were Josh Barr, Tarik El-Bashir, Paul Bergeron, Judith Evans, Sean P. Flynn, Jon Gallo, Alan Goldenbach, Jake Schaller, Angela Watts, Ashton Williams and Preston Williams.
