Also won the 200 individual medley at Metros and Prep League meets. Recorded fastest time in area in 100 breaststroke and led Georgetown Prep to the Metros championship. | 
| Coach of the Year | Tom Krawczewicz, DeMatha In his 12th year at his alma mater, Krawczewicz guided the Stags to one of their most successful seasons, including a second-place finish at Metros, a 9-1 dual meet record, and third-place finishes at the Prep League championships and relay carnival. | 
| First Team | Jason Adler, Potomac School, Sr. Swept 200 and 500 freestyle at Metros, Virginia Independent Schools championships and the Prep League championships. Team leader will swim for Ohio State next season. Alex Anderson, Madison, Soph. Distance freestyle specialist won the 500 freestyle at the Liberty District, Northern Region and Virginia AAA meets. Holds district and school record in the 500 freestyle. Josh Hafkin, Bullis, Fr. Burst on to the scene by capturing the 100 backstroke at Metros and IAC championships, 100 butterfly at Metros and Prep League championships and 50 freestyle at Prep championships. John Hutchison, West Springfield, Sr. The Virginia AAA 200 individual medley champion will attend the United States Military Academy at West Point this fall. His swim at the state meet set a new school record in the 200 IM (1:55.95). Mikey McDonald, W.T. Woodson, Soph. Diver won one-meter competition in every meet he entered this season including Liberty District, Northern Region and Virginia AAA championships. Daniel Mengering, Walter Johnson, Jr. Montgomery County and division champion in the 200 and 500 freestyle led the Wildcats to a team title at the county championships. Steve Scheren, Robinson, Jr. Won 50 and 100 freestyle events at Patriot District, Northern Region and Virginia AAA meets. Set a new state record in the 100 freestyle (46.09) and led Rams to Virginia AAA championship. Hugh Sullivan, Gonzaga, Sr. Earned all-American consideration in 100 backstroke and led Gonzaga to victories at Prep League championships and relay carnival. Purple Eagles captain is headed to Yale in fall. Robby Swendiman, Georgetown Prep, Senior Holds school record in 50 and 100 freestyle. Metros champion in both events; was also a member of winning 200 freestyle relay team at Metros. |
