Buckeyes Keep Title Hopes Alive

Ohio State quarterback Stanley Jackson threw touchdown passes of 24 and 42 yards to lead the Buckeyes to a 38-7 trouncing of Big Ten rival Penn State. Ohio State became the first team since 1980 to beat top five teams in consecutive weeks. Last week OSU defeated Notre Dame, 29-16.
Wildcats Claw Past Michigan, 17-16
Northwestern placekicker Brian Gowins kicked a game-winning field goal not once, but twice with 13 seconds remaining as the No. 22 Wildcats rallied to stun No. 6 Michigan, 17-16. His first try was not allowed because officials said the play never started.
Wuerffel Sets Record as Gators Roll
Florida quarterback Danny Wuerffel threw four touchdown passes while completing 23 of 39 passes to give the top-ranked Gators a 42-7 win over Arkansas. The scoring passes gave him 89 for his career and put him third on the NCAA career list behind David Klingler's 91 and Ty Detmer's 121. His 462 passing yards against the Razorbacks broke his own school record of 449 that he set in 1993.
Nebraska Pummels K-State, 39-3
The seventh-ranked Nebraska Cornhuskers defeated Kansas State for the 28th straight time Saturday, this time 39-3 in Manhattan, Kan. Nebraska's DeAngelo Evans rushed for 168 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Huskers.
