76ers Make Iverson No. 1 Draft Pick
To the surprise of no one, the Philadelphia 76ers selected Georgetown guard Allen Iverson with the first pick of the NBA draft. The Toronto Raptors chose Massachusetts center Marcus Camby second. At 55, There's No Reason to Rush

Columnist Tony Kornheiser takes a look at the draft, and the conspicuous absence of Les Boulez, who had become regulars at the draft, until this year. The Bullets traded their No. 1 draft pick to Cleveland for Mark Price, and didn't pick until late in the second round.
Lynam, Bullets Watch From Sideline
The Washington Bullets have improved themselves tremendously in recent drafts, adding the likes of Juwan Howard and Tom Gugliotta, who was the bait that led to the acquisition of Chris Webber.
