At a very young age, Stojko developed a love
for things that move fast: motorcycles, cars,
snowmobiles and the like. He also knew early on
reportedly at 2½ that he wanted
to become a world class figure skater.
Known for his athletic and flamboyant style,
Stojko incorporates several different jumps into
his skating routine. He is also superstitious in his
preparation: for the past 20 years, he has always
put his left skate on first.
Stojko was named after his father's idol Elvis
Presley.
