Elk Neck State Park presents a great variety of topography, from sandy beaches and marshlands to heavily wooded bluffs rising above the Northeast River. Camping and boating are major recreational activities.

Fair Hill is used for special events, and is the site of the Fair Hill Training Center (equestrian training) as well as the turf course where the Cecil County Breeders' Fair Inc. holds its Memorial Day and Fall Horse Races. The Fair Hill Environmental Foundation is also located here.

In Cecil County, Exit 100 off I-95 North toward Rising Sun on Route 272 North. Take a right onto Route 273 and follow to the intersection of Route 273 and 213. Proceed through stoplight to Fair Hill.
