The park sprawls along the Patapsco River, and offers woods and streams for all kinds of recreation. Campsites are available.

Size: 12,699 acres

Directions: In Baltimore, Howard, Carroll and Anne Arundel Counties. Patapsco has five separate recreation areas: The Glen Artney Area is reached via South Street from Route 1 in Relay; the Hilton Area is reached from Rolling Road, south of Frederick Road in Catonsville; the Hollofield Area is adjacent to Route 40 in near Ellicott City; the Pickall Area is reached by taking North Rolling Road to Fairbrooke Road to Johnnycake Road; and the entrance to the McKeldin Area is off Marriottsville Road.

This undeveloped park has an Environmental Study Area including a self-guided nature trail.

Size: 6,529 acres

Directions: In Howard and Montgomery counties, along the Patuxent River Valley between Md. Routes 27 and 97.
