Choptank River Fishing Piers

These piers include a 1/2-mile pier extending from Dorchester County and a 3/4-mile pier extending from the Talbot County shore, providing fishing access to the Choptank River.

Size: 24 acres

Directions: The former Harrington Bridge over the Choptank at Cambridge.

Wye Oak State Park

This park gets its name from the Wye Oak, a tremendous white oak, estimated to be more than 400 years old. This tree is the largest and finest of its species in the United States.

Size: 29 acres

Directions: In Talbot County, near Wye Mills, off U.S. Route 213.

  • Picnicking
