Team Draft Summary Grade

Arizona
Cardinals

Defending NFC champs didn’t trade WR Anquan Boldin to add picks but did pretty well with what they had. Got RB help when Chris Wells fell to them at 31st overall and added a pass rusher in second-round DE/LB Cody Brown. B

St. Louis
Rams

Taking T Jason Smith was the right thing to do at second overall, and getting LB James Laurinaitis three picks into the second round was a sound move as well. B+

San Francisco
49ers

It’s at least as important to be lucky as smart on draft weekend, and the 49ers benefited from WR Michael Crabtree falling to them at 10th. Getting QB Nate Davis in the fifth round was a good move too. B

Seattle
Seahawks

LB Curry should be an immediate difference-maker, and Max Unger, a versatile offensive lineman taken in the second round, could be an extremely useful player. B+
