Highlights with USA National Team: returned for senior year at UCLA after helping Team USA claim the bronze medal at the '94 World Championship in Athens, Greece had four aces in World Championship bronze-medal vs. Cuba (10-8-94) and 19 kills, two stuffs and three aces in semifinal loss to Netherlands (10-7-94) rejoined USA team in June 1994 after his junior campaign at UCLA and made return debut on Banana Boat outdoor tour vs. Canada played on USA national team in Aug. 1993 after training with 'B' team during summer helped Americans qualify for '94 World Championships named to full-time USA roster in Jan. 1994
Other Volleyball Achievements:
College/High School: recorded 1.94 blocks (second in country), 7.01 kills (third in nation), .412 hitting percentage (17th nationally) and .54 service aces (seventh in NCAAs) in 1994 co-MVP at 1993 NCAA Championships as Bruins won their 14th national title first-team All-America and all-conference performer as sophomore after finishing third in nation with .492 hitting percentage and ranked ninth with 1.6 blocks per game average starred at 1993 World University Games, where USA placed ninth named '92 Freshman of the Year by Volleyball Monthly third-team All-America in 1992 coached at UCLA by Al Scates (former USA national team head coach) state most valuable player in 1991 at LaFollette High School, Madison, Wis. lettered in volleyball, basketball, track and tennis all-state volleyball performer in 1990 and 1991 coached at LHS by Randy Ramig.
