This popular weekend recreation destination for Atlantans is located near Gainesville, Georgia, 55 miles (88 km) northeast of Atlanta. ACOG is putting in place an Olympic rowing and canoe/kayak sprint venue at the lake that will feature permanent spectator seats, temporary seats,
a permanent cabling system, a permanent finish tower and permanent line markers, which will retract into the lake during non-competition periods to allow continued recreational use activities. |
