1964: In a stunning trade, the Redskins sent quarterback Norm Snead to the Philadelphia Eagles for veteran quarterback Sonny Jurgensen.
Oct. 11, 1964: In the first meeting of the traded quarterbacks, Jurgensen out-duels Snead by throwing for four touchdowns as the Redskins win, 35-20.
Nov. 28, 1966: Jurgensen sparks the greatest comeback in Redskins history. Down 21-0, the Redskins record a 34-31 victory over the Cowboys as Jurgensen passes for over 400 yards and 3 touchdowns.
May 1, 1975: After 18 seasons in the National Football League and 11 with the Redskins, Jurgensen retires.
