John Riggins may be best remembered for his game-breaking, 43-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter of Super Bowl XVII against the Miami Dolphins. The run sealed a 27-17 Redskins' victory. For racking up 166 total rushing yards, Riggins was named the game's Most Valuable Player.
1983: Named the Maxwell Club Player of the Year and named to the All-NFL team and the AP All-Pro Team.
