THE DRAFT
Redskins Get Defensive in Draft

The Redskins used the 17th pick in the NFL draft April 19 to take Kenard Lang, a 6-foot-4, 277-pound defensive lineman from Miami (Fla.). They added wide receiver Albert Connell of Texas A&M and four others April 20.
Lang Steps to Plate for Redskins
Since high school, Kenard Lang (pictured) has wanted to be a hitter. The question was whether he would do it playing football or baseball. He eventually chose the former, and the Redskins are thrilled.
