The Washington Redskins lost linebacker Ken Harvey, left guard Tre Johnson and right tackle Troy Drake to knee injuries during yesterday's 45-42 defeat to the Arizona Cardinals at Jack Kent Cooke Stadium.

All three players are scheduled to undergo MRI exams today, team officials said. With only five weeks left, all three could be sidelined for most of the rest of the season, or all of it.

"It sounds to me like Tre, Ken Harvey and Drake will be out for an extended period of time," Coach Norv Turner said.

Johnson had been playing with a sprained ligament in his right knee and was hurt yesterday on the Redskins' first play as he blocked for running back Skip Hicks. Cardinals safety Pat Tillman tackled Hicks, and Johnson got his leg caught beneath both players.

The Redskins already had shuffled their starting offensive line, inserting Shar Pourdanesh at left tackle and moving Brad Badger from left tackle to right guard. Joe Patton replaced Johnson at left guard after Johnson got hurt. When Drake was injured, Pourdanesh moved to right tackle and Rod Milstead was inserted at right guard, with Badger shifting to left guard and Patton to left tackle.

Drake suffered damage to the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee yesterday, Redskins officials said. Harvey has been playing with knee soreness, and expressed the hope that the injury he suffered to his left knee yesterday was relatively mild.

"It might be something simple," Harvey said.

    Green, Ever Durable
Cornerback Darrell Green kept his iron-man streak going by playing in his 92nd consecutive game yesterday. Green didn't practice until Friday because of a sore left knee, but he tested it in warmups yesterday and decided to play, then kept playing after telling Turner at halftime to remove him from the lineup if Turner thought Green was hurting the team.

"I thought about coming out at halftime or in the second half," Green said. "We talked about it a little bit. I think I hurt the team on some running plays. I had apprehension. But it's what I do, so I did it."

Counting regular season games only, Green has played in 97 consecutive games. ...

Wide receiver Michael Westbrook became the first Redskin to catch three touchdown passes in a game since Gary Clark on Nov. 10, 1991. Westbrook also established single-game career bests with 10 catches and 135 yards.

Westbrook now has 40 receptions for 685 yards and six touchdowns this season, all career highs. He had 34 catches in each of his previous three seasons and never had more than three touchdowns in a season. ...

The Redskins' other starting wide receiver, Leslie Shepherd, matched his single-game best with seven catches yesterday. His 31 receptions for the season also are a career standard. ...

Trent Green became the first Redskins quarterback to throw for four touchdown passes in a game since John Friesz on Sept. 11, 1994.
