Norv Turner | Darrell Green | Gus Frerotte | Trent Green

    Norv Turner
    Opening Comments:
The game was an extremely physical game, as I expected it to be. Philadelphia executed and made key plays. They made the big plays in different spots that enabled them to win the game. We certainly had our opportunities.

    On the officiating:
A: There were a number of calls in the game. You guys have a better shot at seeing things with the TV replays and things like that. You get a better look than I do.

On why he stuck with Trent Green at quarterback for so long during the game:
A: We had put a good drive together early and made some plays. Obviously I thought that was the right thing to do. We went three and out on a couple of drives. We had put a good drive together early and made some plays. On one drive, Trent threw a couple of balls high, and I thought putting Gus [Frerotte] in was the right thing to do.

    On being 0-6:
A: We got guys fighting their butts off. We just have to be in the situation to win. We have guys who have been in this situation before, and they are great competitors. It's discouraging. [The Eagles] made two big third down conversions. There are guys here who have a lot of pride and are great competitors.

    On Terry Allen's fumble:
A: When you're struggling, it gets harder and harder to win. It's amazing how one or two plays can give you back that confidence. We're down there on the 1-yard line, and [the officials] say that Terry isn't down. That was obviously a big play in the game. We didn't get any points out of it, and it just adds to that frustration.

    Darrell Green
    On the game:
A: Hey, this is the National Football League, and anybody is capable every week. I don't believe that [the Eagles] will go 1-15 and we'll go 0-16. I believe that we will go forward and try and continue to do a solid job. We just didn't look at them as an 0-5 team.

On giving up long third down conversions:
A: That was a frustrating point. There was a lot of exciting things that happened on defense. We were sacking them a lot, but it was just one play here and there. I think [the officials] made a bad call on one of my plays and a bad call on Terry Allen's play. But ultimately for us we have to maintain a positive attitude.

    Gus Frerotte
On the final fourth-down play of the final drive:
A: We tried to get one up quick for four or five yards. Nobody was covering Jamie [Asher], and they were all spread out. I thought he'd scoot upfield real quick, and one of their guys made a great tackle.

On expecting to start this week:
A: That is [Turner's] decision, and I just have to go out and continue to prepare to play. I'm excited about the opportunity. I'm just kind of angry and frustrated with the situation we are in.

    Trent Green
On the status of the team:
A: Yes, this is very frustrating. This is one of my worst nightmares thinking that we could start out 0-6. All I can do is go out there and put us in the best position to win and make all of the positive plays that we can. And I'm going to continue to do that. I'm going to continue to prepare the same way and get myself ready for the week. My approach to this whole thing won't change.

    On getting pulled for Frerotte:
A: Did I think I did anything in the game to deserve to be yanked? No. We just weren't getting things done. [Turner] came to me and told me that he wanted to make a change to give us a spark. It's always frustrating. You always want to be a starter.

    On first-quarter troubles:
A: The first play was just a handoff to Terry Allen. I got caught coming out of the center. I got a foot stepped on or tripped, whatever. That was the first down play that I ended up running the ball on. On the second play, we ran the ball, and I couldn't get away. The whole thing when I fell [on the Eagles logo at midfield] was that Leslie [Shepherd] was open downfield, and it was just unfortunate how things turned out the way they did.
