Coach Marty Schottenheimer
Q: Can you talk about the victory?
A: Well, it wasn’t a great passing exhibition, obviously, with the numbers. It was two pretty good football teams out there, and neither one was backing off. We were fortunate enough to make a couple of plays -- especially in that last drive that allowed us to kick the field goal.

Q: How did you feel Tony Banks played today?
A: He was outstanding. My point about it not being a great passing performance on the day is that I’m talking about the whole thing except for the fact that he made two great throws when we had to have them on the drive for the field goal.

Q: Did you consider not playing Banks after his concussion last week?
A: I never even thought about that, and I would venture to say that if you talked to Tony, he never thought about it either.

Q: Can you talk about Champ Bailey’s performance over the past two games?
A: What we’ve done is let him go to work against their guys. It doesn’t have to be their most productive receiver, but maybe the guy we think they’re going to try to feature or go to. He’s lined up and done that.

Q: Did you envision being 5-5 at this point in the season?
A: I never even looked at it in that context. People get tired of hearing me say this, but I never looked beyond the next game. It was one game at a time, and I know that’s boring, but that’s the way we do it.

Q: How much pride do you have in this team in the way they have bounced back?
A: For two weeks in a row we’ve gone on the road to play good teams, and we’ve won. But I also have to say that I was immensely proud of this team in Dallas when we lost. We didn’t know how to finish it off. That’s all part of the process of learning and believing that you can do it.

LaVar Arrington
Q: Can you talk about this current winning streak?
A: We’re not doing anything that I did not expect that we would do in the first place. We are just going to keep marching, and we are marching with a grudge. We have a chip on our shoulder because six weeks ago people were up in my face, and everyone’s face around here saying that there were going to be a new coaching staff and people asking why we could not win.

Q: What about the character of the team?
A: We are going to continue to conduct ourselves the way we have from Day 1. We have been consistent, and we have been trying to tell people that we just had to put a few things together. That is all that I will continue to say.

Robert Jones
Q: How did you feel about the defense’s performance?
A: We played very hard, and we were disciplined except for one personal foul, and that is going to happen. Our defense gave our offense a lot of opportunities, and the thing that I loved was that they played with a lot of ball control. They did what they needed to win the ballgame.

Q: What did this win do for the team?
A: We still have a long way to go because people are going to start taking us a little more serious. I think that by now we have gained a little respect in the NFL and people are going to approach us a little different.

Ki-Jana Carter
Q: Can you talk about your touchdown run?
A: It seemed like it took forever to get there. But I don’t want to talk about that run right now. I just want to talk about the team. I’m just so happy right now. Philly came with a great defense, an aggressive one. But we were able to neutralize them. Our line did a great job.

Q: What is the mind-set of the team right now?
A: We have a lot of things going right for us now. We’re on a roll, and we have a lot of confidence. We just want to keep this thing going. Who knows how far we can go?
