Doug Williams
The larger pain: Doug Williams may have twisted his knee badly in the first quarter of Super Bowl XXII, but that injury was less painful to him than the idea of Jay Schroeder taking over at quarterback.
(James A. Parcell/The Washington Post)

The difference this time, though, was that Schroeder tied a record — one he could have done without. Matching Sammy Baugh in 1951, Schroeder threw six interceptions. The Giants went on to win the NFC East with a 14-2 mark.
