The great coach's instincts for spotting talent were not limited to blockers and tacklers. Jurgensen recalled: "He told me after the first practice, 'See that [rookie] over there in the overalls? When the rest of these guys are gone, he'll still be here.' " Lombardi was looking at Larry Brown.
