2010 Redskins roster

A look at the players by position:

Quarterbacks: Donovan McNabb was brought in during the offseason after the team decided Jason Campbell couldn’t get the job done.
# Name Ht. Wt. Exp. School
5 Donovan McNabb 6-2 240 11 Syracuse
8 Rex Grossman 6-1 236 7 Florida
15 John Beck 6-2 215 3 Brigham Young
Running backs: The Redskins brought in two veteran backs -- Larry Johnson and Willie Parker --
to compete with Clinton Portis for carries. Coach Mike Shanahan named Portis the starter early in the summer, and Parker was cut after the preseason.
# Name Ht. Wt. Exp. School
26 Clinton Portis 5-11 219 8 Miami (Fla.)
27 Larry Johnson 6-1 231 7 Penn State
35 Keiland Williams 5-11 223 R LSU
Fullbacks: The versatile Mike Sellers should provide McNabb with an outlet out of the backfield.
# Name Ht. Wt. Exp. School
45 Mike Sellers 6-3 268 10 Walla Walla CC
36 Darrel Young 5-11 245 1 Villanova
Wide receivers: Washington created a logjam at this position during the offseason, but there are several questions. Santana Moss could face suspension for alleged HGH use and Devin Thomas hasn't impressed in two seasons. At least Anthony Armstrong turned some heads at mini camp. Mike Furrey and Malcolm Kelly are both on injured reserve and will miss the season.
# Name Ht. Wt. Exp. School
89 Santana Moss 5-10 209 9 Miami (Fla.)
11 Devin Thomas 6-2 223 2 Michigan State
84 Joey Galloway 5-11 197 15 Ohio State
87 Roydell Williams 6-0 178 3 Tulane
13 Anthony Armstrong 5-11 182 1 West Texas A&M
16 Brandon Banks 5-7 150 R Kansas State
Tight ends: Chris Cooley is a Pro Bowler when healthy and Fred Davis saw lots of time on the field after Cooley was sidelined last season. Both are strong pass catchers and want to be playmakers.
# Name Ht. Wt. Exp. School
47 Chris Cooley 6-3 250 6 Utah State
86 Fred Davis 6-4 255 2 Southern Cal
82 Logan Paulsen 6-5 264 R UCLA
Offensive linemen: Could be the strongest in years, even with Mike Williams sidelined for the year by blood clots near his heart. All-Pro Jammal Brown lines up at one tackle, No. 4 draft pick Trent Williams at the other.
# Name Ht. Wt. Exp. School
72 Trent Williams 6-5 315 R Oklahoma
69 Jammal Brown 6-6 313 5 Oklahoma
66 Derrick Dockery 6-6 325 7 Texas
78 Kory Lichtensteiger 6-3 290 2 Bowling Green
74 Stephon Heyer 6-6 332 3 Maryland
75 Artis Hicks 6-4 314 8 Memphis
61 Casey Rabach 6-4 288 8 Wisconsin
63 Will Montgomery 6-3 307 4 Virginia Tech
Defensive linemen: The Redskins are switching to a three-man front and could have a formidable unit with the comeback of nose tackle Ma'ake Kemoeatu from an Achilles' injury. His health means disgruntled DT Albert Haynesworth could play a fair amount at end.
# Name Ht. Wt. Exp. School
64 Kedric Golston 6-4 300 4 Georgia
92 Albert Haynesworth 6-6 350 8 Tennessee
79 Vonnie Holliday 6-5 285 12 North Carolina

93 Phillip Daniels 6-5 302 14 Georgia
76 Anthony Bryant 6-3 376 3 Alabama
96 Ma'ake Kemoeatu 6-5 364 8 Utah
Linebackers: Pro Bowler London Fletcher remains the leader in the middle and Rocky McIntosh will move inside. Pro Bowler Brian Orakpo will start on the outside.
# Name Ht. Wt. Exp. School
97 Lorenzo Alexander 6-1 272 3 California
54 H.B. Blades 5-10 242 3 Pittsburgh
99 Andre Carter 6-4 257 9 California

90 Jeremy Jarmon 6-3 286 1 Kentucky
52 Rocky McIntosh 6-2 239 4 Miami (Fla.)
98 Brian Orakpo 6-4 255 1 Texas
53 Perry Riley 6-0 238 R LSU
95 Chris Wilson 6-4 247 3 Northwood
Defensive backs: Carlos Rogers and DeAngelo Hall are back at corner, and veteran Phillip Buchanon is in the mix. Second-year CB Kevin Barnes also may be a factor. LaRon Landry will play more strong safety.
# Name Pos. Ht. Wt. Exp. School
25 Kevin Barnes CB 6-1 185 1 Maryland
31 Phillip Buchanon CB 5-11 186 8 Miami (Fla.)

22 Carlos Rogers CB 6-0 189 5 Auburn
34 Byron Westbrook CB 5-10 204 1 Salisbury University
Special teams: There was no competition at place-kicker and punter. Nick Sundberg will replace longtime long snapper Ethan Albright on the roster.

6 Josh Bidwell P 6-3 228 11 Oregon
