UEFA Cup Wisla Held to Scoreless Draw by Porto

KRAKOW, Poland, Oct 26 – Poland's Wisla Krakow and Portugal's Porto played out a sloppy 0-0 draw in their second round, first leg UEFA Cup clash on Thursday.

Playing in rainy, slippery conditions, neither team was able to get its passing game in gear, with the Portuguese focusing on defence to keep the recently in-form Wisla attack at bay.

Wisla are the runaway leaders in Poland's first division this season and overcame a 4-1 first leg deficit with four goals in the second half of the second leg to beat Real Zaragosa on penalties in the first round.

But they squandered the game's best scoring opportunity on Wednesday in the 24th minute when striker Olgierd Moskalewicz shot wide from six metres out.

Porto nearly snatched a late victory but substitute Almeida Romeu goal in injury time was ruled out for offside.
