Jamaica Beats Japan for First Win in World Cup
Theodore Whitmore tallied both Jamaica's goals, as the Caribbean nation defeated Japan, 2-1, June 26. Jamaica became the first Caribbean nation to win a World Cup game since 1938. Both teams already had been eliminated from second-round contention.
